PwC expands tax practice in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda

PwC Cayman has announced the addition of two senior hires to its growing tax practice with team members located in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda.

These senior hires are part of the firm’s strategic focus on expanding its tax services team, which now includes a total of 19 tax specialists based in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda.

  1. C. Leshikar and Elizabeth Smeltzer have joined the tax team as a partner and a director, respectively. Both specialise in the U.S. tax issues of our Financial Services clients.

Originally from Austin, Texas, T.C. Leshikar has spent the last eight years at a Big 4 firm in the Cayman Islands providing U.S. Tax planning and compliance services to hedge funds, private equity funds and captive insurance companies. He also previously worked at another Big 4 firm in Bermuda. He holds a M.B.A. and B.B.A. in Accounting, is a licensed C.P.A. and is a member of the AICPA and VSCPA.


Elizabeth Smeltzer also spent the last eight years at a Big 4 Firm in the Cayman Islands primarily focused on providing US tax consulting and compliance services to private equity funds, captive insurance companies and insurance linked securities (ILS) structures.  Previously she worked at another Big 4 Firm in Nashville.  She holds a Masters in Accountancy and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, and is a licensed C.P.A.
